What is normalisation?

The Weightings used in the calculation of Option Scores in an Annalisa are always normalised, which means they are made to add up to 1 or 100%, even if they did not already do so. The program does allows un-normalised weightings to be entered and displayed (if the Normalisation Display setting is unchecked), but they will be automatically be normalised behind the scenes in the score calculation process. For example, in a case with three criteria, weightings of .6,  .3 and .3 (60%, 30% and 30%) can be entered and displayed, but the scoring process will normalise them to .5, .25 and .25 ( 50%, 25%, 25%).
